YouTube Advertisers : Please Read

A place for the advertisers to chat and ask questions, because of course - without them - adf.ly would not exist!

YouTube Advertisers : Please Read

Postby adfly » Thu Jan 27, 2011 12:41 am

YouTube now prohibits their website and any video pages being displayed in an iframe.

But you are still able to advertise embedded videos, to convert a YouTube link to an embedded video:

1. Take a YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzRH3iTQPrk
2. Replace the /watch?v= with just /v/
3. So it becomes: http://www.youtube.com/v/FzRH3iTQPrk
4. If you want it to autoplay: http://www.youtube.com/v/FzRH3iTQPrk?autoplay=1

We can no longer accept ‘normal’ YouTube video pages or channels.

Also we would like to say that YouTube have their own rules about what they count as 'visitors' and we do not know whether embedded videos (autoplay or not) are counted towards this.

We send unique visitors and if say Google Analytics was available on the YouTube you would see their stats would reflect ours but we cannot be held responsible if YouTube do not count our traffic or if the views get ‘stuck’.

I believe YouTube do count embeded unqiue views towards the videos view stats.
My conclusion is based on the website Twiends which allows you to earn virtual credits for watching other users videos and also get other people to view your videos by giving them virtual credits back.

I've tested the Twiends site and although not all views count I can ascertain that 90% of my unique views and being added to my videos view counter.

Hope this helps.

Or you could submit your link to viewtubetrain.net and advertise your viewtube link. It autoplays your youtube videos.

Is it now possible to increase youtube views or just a waste of time?
I need ~ 50k views, in short period of time.

Your views will freeze if you advertise a new video. Wait till your video has 400 views and then advertse the video.

If it won't show when you enter that URL in the browser address bar, it won't show when a visitor views it on your campaign.

I have tried to pause your campaign but it already finished.

We do not check these forums that often - please contact us:

http://adf.ly/contact.php

with anything like this in the future.

You have an extra = in your URL, that looks like it is the problem.

We don't pay for views on videos, this is the advertisers forum. They pay US to advertise their videos.
